Matchup Betting is play money only. Nothing here has real-world value — it can't be bought, cashed out, or redeemed for anything. It's just bragging rights.
A standard winning bet pays 2x your money. If 75% or more of the money wagered on a matchup ends up on one player, a bet on the other player instead pays 3x — the underdog rate.
This is decided by the final odds when betting closes, not by the odds when you placed your bet. If you bet on a player who was favored at the time, but they later became the underdog before betting closed, you still get the underdog payout. The number shown on the bet screen is just a snapshot of the odds at that moment — it can still move before betting locks.
Betting closes 60 minutes before a matchup's scheduled start time. After that, no more bets are accepted on that matchup. Bets are whole-dollar amounts between $10 and $100, one bet per market per matchup.
A voided matchup refunds every bet placed on it in full. No win or loss is recorded, and it has no effect on your win streak — it's treated as if the bet never happened.
A second, independent market on most matchups — pick who reaches the midpoint first (e.g. first to 15 in a game to 30, or who wins game 1 in a best-of-3). It pays out using the same odds rules as the main market, but on its own book — your pick here doesn't have to match your winner pick.
It never affects your win streak — only the main winner market does. If the midpoint wasn't recorded when the final score was entered, this market alone is voided and refunded; the matchup and its winner market are unaffected.
Ranked two ways, each across the last 7 days, the last 30 days, and all-time:
You can hide yourself from the leaderboard any time from your account settings.
A public feed of recent bets across the site. Bets appear here before they settle — the odds snapshot on the betting page already shows where the money's going, so this isn't new information, just a running log of it.
You can hide your bets from the feed any time from your account settings.
There's no way to buy more balance and no loans. If you hit $0, wait for your next daily visit, a new event, or refer a friend.
Betting activity unlocks virtual trophies shown in your own private collection — they're never shown to anyone else, on the leaderboard, or in the activity feed. What each one takes to unlock is a surprise — you'll see it the moment you earn it.
If you're opted in, you'll get a reminder about 60 minutes before betting closes on any matchup you haven't bet on yet — at most one per event. When an event's results are in, you'll also get a personal breakdown of how your bets landed.
The leaderboard, the activity feed, and these emails can each be turned off independently from your account settings.
